The water comes out of the mouth of a lion, black and made of metal. The lion appears pretty perturbed. There is some green stained on the stone/concrete so I guess something like bronze oxidized. In fact, this may be what it is made of. The fountain was made in '57, so it is 53 years old. There is a nice stone 'sink' with a heavy stone coping which the water dumps into. Unfortunately, during my visit, the fountain was turned off.
