In 1921, Buell moved to Denver, Colorado for treatment of tuberculosis. After he regained his health he established the largest architectural firm in the Rocky Mountain area. He designed more than 300 buildings in the Denver area. Examples include the Paramount Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Cherry Creek Shopping Center became the prototype of modern malls. Buell died in 1990 at the age of 96. He designed his mausoleum. (from (visit link) and others)
