This mural is painted on the west side of the two-story building at 23. W. Main in downtown Shawnee, which is brick. The building is occupied as The Carpet Supermarket.
At the north end, a downtown trolley is shown. To the right of that is a painting of the old fire station and a fire engine. To the right of that is a depiction of the stone Santa Fe railroad depot which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the site of a great museum today. Steam locomotive 604 is pulling into the station, and people who look to be dressed in early 20th Century garb are waiting to board. At the far south end, at the back of the building are paintings of three historic buildings in the Shawnee area.
