The sign says:
"The Richardsonian Romanesque style of this structure is unique in Natick Center, being built more than a decade later than most Main Street buildings. The building was constructed by John B. Walcott on the site of his former shoe factory which was lost in the downtown fire of 1874. Like many other Main Street buildings, large halls exist on the upper stories where the "Ancient Order of Redmen" once had their meetings and social events. Original plaster murals still adorn the hall ceilings.
"Natick Center Historical District. National Register of Historic Places 1977."

Visit Instructions:
When logging a Massachusetts Historic Marker, we ask that you not only describe your visit, but to upload a picture from it. The picture does not have to be of the marker - one picture of the marker is enough. But a photo of you standing next to the marker or a photograph the subject of the marker - those are examples of possible photographs to upload.
