The grass species used in this maze is the New Zealand Bunch Grass - Anemanthele lessoniana. The design is based on the Cretan Minotaur classical maze.

Changing colour through the year makes the maze an even more magical place for children to race around. Replanting takes place every 3-4 years to maintain the shape.
