The honeycomb rocks were formed 2-300 million years ago and present a world class and spectacular example of quartz boxwork Hematite deposits. The gravel surfaced trail is graded and maintained at less than a 5% grade. Many interpretive signs are to be found along the trail. A small parking area is located at the trailhead. The GPS coordinates are for that parking area. Plan on 30 minutes or so to fully enjoy the site.
