This mounment is dedicated to the 32nd. Infantry Regiment.
The 32nd. Infantry Regiment was founded in 1741 by Maria Theresa. Firstly it was named from it's first commander Earl Ghymesi Forgách Ignác. (Forgách-regiment).
The regiment is received the 32nd. military number only in 1769.
They base was in Budapest, that is why called later "Home Regiment". In the World War I. the regiment suffered severe losses. According to the the Trianon treaty limiting points of the squad had to be disbanded.
It's re-organization was in the World War II. (Led by: Pál Maléter)
The statue was inaugurated on 14 May 1933. It's pedestal has been made by Tibor Müller and Michael Gross architects.
