This bridge, which passes over Whittier Boulevard, is the highlight of the five mile Whittier Greenway Trail. The trail is open to pedestrians and bicycles.

The cost to purchase the abandoned Union Pacific right-of-way was $3.2 million.

There is an exhibit near the trestle that describes the history of transportation along this corridor from the wagons and railroads that transported citrus crops, to the early automobiles that traveled along the path of a pre-Whittier Boulevard.

Geocache GC1FGXY is on the trestle.
