The memorial is located to the furthest point right in the front of the station and is above the cornerstone, resting at the edge, about eye level. The memorial is a brass marker with a glass lid which covers over the names of those who are being honored at any given time. The memorial reads Rescue Fire Co. No. 4; Organized 1872; In Memory of Our Members. Currently the memorial does not have any names, but instead, it advertises the museum and its hours. I am unsure as to why it has the Rescue Fire Co. name and not the Royal name. There are other items of interest here as well with the names of other fire stations attached to them. Perhaps because it is a museum?
