In the NRHP application for "Fredericksburg Historic District." Bottom of first page for Section 7 (Description) has a listing of the supporting historical structures. This one is found in the paragraph for Caroline Street. "Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop, 1020 Caroline St., frame, one-and-half story (early-eighteenth century)"
The store is being maintained to demonstrate the practice of medicine at the time of the American Revolution. Admission required: $5 adults, $2 children. Generally open around the hours of 12-3PM.
