This mark is one of a series of US Army Corps of Engineer survey marks on the locks of the Charles River just east of the Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge and west of the Charlestown Bridge.

This mark is at the northernmost part of a walkway the connects the banks of the Charles River. To reach the mark from the north bank, start at Paul Revere Park. There is a large red brick building along the water there, with fences barring access. At the westernmost side of this dam across the Charles there is a passage across for pedestrian access.

The mark will be on your left as you walk up the ramp to cross the Charles. There will be black railings on both sides of you. The mark is near where the left railing makes a turn, and the publicly accessible area widens significantly. You will see the mark just on the other side of the railing, right near a metal grate.
