This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Wenham. The letters "H" (for Hamilton) and "W" (for Wenham) are inscribed on opposite sides. It is approximately eight inches square and three feet high.

The marker is under the rear porch of a house near the corner of Knoll Road and Lake Drive. NOTE: this is private property. Please ask permission before visiting.

The next adjacent marker heading northwest is Hamilton-Wenham 1F, 0.2 mile.
The next adjacent marker heading southeast is Hamilton-Wenham 1D, 0.3 mile.
