One either side of the central market of Battambang is a statue of a Cambodian farmer, one a man, the other a woman. The man to the south. Both stand on a plinth, in a small, grassed, traffic 'V'. They are both striding towards the central market, as if they intend to sell their produce.
Both statues are displayed in a plain, unadorned style, and because of that, display a certain appeal. There is no plaque.
