This gate is mostly ornamental since it seems to lead to a supply shed. It is made of wood and has a simple ornamental design on each door with lion?-design handles. The gate has a typical double-arched Japanese "roof". The accompanying plaque reads:

"CHARLES C. DAIL

MAYOR OF SAN DIEGO 1955-1963
FOUNDER
SAN DIEGO - YOKOHAMA SISTER CITY PROGRAM
PRESENTED BY HIS MANY FRIENDS IN
RECOGNITION OF HIS DEDICATION TO
THE PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE PROGRAM AND
TO THE FRIENDSHIPS BETWEEN THE
CITIZENS OF SAN DIEGO AND YOKOHAMA
MARCH 1970"
