The second largest town of Cambodia, Battambang, 300kms north west of Phnom Penh, has a central market, similar in design to that of Phnom Penh, in that both share a French colonial era, art-deco look. Most probably this market was built in the 1930s, in the same timeframe as its exemplar.
This clock is on a tower, at the eastern end of the central market. From this position it can be seen up and down the nearby river, which flows through the town. Unlike its companion this clock is without hands.
