Mary Noel (1802-1837), married Thomas W. Noel on Deptember 238, 1829. She lived her life on the surrounding 3000 acres and had requested to buried in this location, where she could watch her children play. This plaque was placed by Mary's great great granddaughter, Betty Noel Ruddell-Depietro, in 2003.
