This monument is made of brick... and has a bell in the open center. There are engraved granite plates on each side of the monument and on on top under the bell. The one on top reads: "IN MEMORY OF VOLUNTEER FIREMEN OF BELMAR 1959"
The plates on the sides read: "IN MEMORY OF VOLUNTEER FIREMEN OF BELMAR 1959 - REDEDICATED 2005" , "GOODWILL HOSE CO. ORGANIZED 1901", "VOLUNTEER HOOK & LADDER FIRE CO. ORGANIZED 1894" and "UNION FIRE CO. NO. 1 ORGANIZED 1889".
