Pumpkinfest has begin since the late-80s/early 90's in this small borough straddling the Youghiogheny and Casselman Rivers, as well as the Laurel Hill Creek. A majority of vendors and events are held in the borough square and neighboring community center building. There are many contest for local residents to participate in as well, from a Queen pagent from the local High School, to a Pie Eating Contest, to a Fire Truck Pull. The festival starts on a Friday afternoon and ends on a Sunday Night with a parade through the town to end the day. Due to the limited parking spaces in the community, there are shuttles from both directions of the community to accommodate festival-goers.,
