This is the cemetery for the former Elkmont community in what is now Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Grave markers range from unmarked sandstone stones to modern marble markers. Most of the graves seem to be those of children. Most of the burial dates are in the late 1800s to 1920s range. The latest burial we saw was dated 2000. There are about 100 graves.
