In the middle of the town of Kampong Cham is a wide traffic island with a few trees, shrubs, grass and seats—and a fountain, apparently all funded by the National Bank of Cambodia. It seems that the fountain is rarely in operation, however, one evening, I did see the fountain shooting jets of water skyward. Perhaps not the very greatest fountain I have seen, but it does seem to attract young town folk, of both genders, in the cool of the evening.
There is a second fountain, to the south, approximately 100m distant, however, I never say this fountain in operation.
