The Appalachian Trail follows the eastern edge of Lee, MA. To the south, the trail starts at US 20 and crosses the Mass Turnpike about one mile later. There is a large parking area, with information about the vicinity, a short walk from the trail head. Downtown Lee is about 5 miles west of the trail. In Lee, there are a number of restaraunts, several motels, supermarket, and a number of tourist attractions.
