"The mural is dedicated to the Ohlone Salinian and Rumsen
tribes who were the original care takers of this land."

The mural is particularly interesting with its depictions of "spirits" or animals and people in the cloud shapes and campfire smoke. It's roughly divided into three sections: the wild animals in the foothills, hunting and fishing, and village life.

The One Voice Mural Project was a youth summer employment project in Monterey County. After a cautious start in 1997, they were busy in 1998 with a dozen projects in 9 towns. This mural on a wall in the park in Marina has not held up well. This park is just across the road from sanddunes on the ocean front and the prevailing wind blows sand which is hard on any paint job.

The youth Assistant Muralists listed are:
Hector Felix
Phuc Hu Y[obscured]
Tung Teo Le
Thuong Nguyen
