the valley with St Andrew’s Church in the background. At the top of the
sign is the Tudor rose, alluding to the birth of Edmund Tudor at the Bishop of
London’s Palace in Much Hadham. Edmund Tudor
was the son of Owen Tudor and Queen Katharine and the father of Henry VII.
The village sign carries a plaque that reads

In addition to the village sign there is also a Best Kept

a list of winners of the title.
