National Highway 7, running north east from Phnom Penh, takes you into the more remote and less populated areas of Cambodia, and towards the Laos border. The first sizeable bus station stop along the route is here, just to the west of the small town of Skun.
The station is not large, set back a little from the road, with a dusty, unpaved parking area. It can handle several buses at one time, serves a variety of food, and has a few stalls from which the usual range of tourist and traveller merchandise can be purchased. A tad worn, but entirely serviceable. Tickets can be purchased for buses heading in either direction.
Approximately two and a half hours from Phnom Penh. Expect to spend twenty minutes there to unwind before heading north.
