Cette murale représente la vie à New-Liverpool, devenue St-Romuald, puis fusionnée à Lévis. Né en 1888, Lauréat Vallière fait partie de cette lignée d'artistes et d'artisans du bois qui ont fait de Saint-Romuald le centre de l'art religieux dans l'histoire du Québec contemporain. Élève de Ferdinand Villeneuve, il a exercé, pendant plus de soixante ans, l'art de la statuaire auprès des maîtres qu'il a côtoyés aux ateliers de Saint-Romuald. Artiste complet, il a touché au dessin et à la peinture ainsi qu'à la sculpture sur bois et sur pierre. Il est décédé en 1973.

This mural represents life in New-Liverpool, known as St-Romuald, then fusionned to Levis. Born in 1888, Lauréat Valliere is part of artists and craftsmen who have made Saint-Romuald central religious art in the history of contemporary Quebec. He studied with Ferdinand Villeneuve. He served for over sixty years, the art of statuary from the masters he worked alongside the workshops of Saint-Romuald. A complete artist, he has hit in drawing and painting and sculpture in wood and stone. He died in 1973.
