At the end of each day of travel, each member of a Mormon Pioneer family had his or her routine duties to perform. The father hunted for game, stood guard against intruders, or cared for livestock, the mother prepared the meal, and even children had their assigned tasks to perform. In the background is the family's home on wheels. Everything they needed on the trek or for when they reached their destination had to be carried in that wagon. The journey into the unknown was certainly a test of their faith and determination.
