This elevation sign of Mount Davis is located along the Mount Davis Road in the township of Elk Lick, Pennsylvania. It shows an elevation of 3213 feet. Mount Davis is the higest point in Pennsylvania and the summit of the Negro Mountain ridge which is part of the larger Allegheny Mountain range. Sad to say, but the elevation sign has a lot of bullet holes.

Across the sign and on the other side of the road is a small dirty parking lot. A trail leads into the woods to the nearby Baughman Rocks. There is a mystery around these rocks, check it out. Not far away and along South Wolf Rock Road you will find the Mount Davis Observation Tower at N39°47.160 W079°10.600. I'm sure you are rewarded with great views from the top.
