Built in 1885-86, this building is located at the NW corner of Yonge and Front streets.
Designed by the Toronto firm of Darling and Curry, this former Bank of Montreal building is an example of rococo architecture. It was used as the bank's head office until 1949 after which the building continued to serve as a branch until 1982 when it closed for the last time.
On June 18, 1993, the Hockey Hall of Fame officially opened at this location.
