Navajo Code Talkers sculpture is located at the entrance to the Gallup Cultural Center, on Rt. 66. The 900 pound, 10 ft. statue was moved from the 2nd floor of the center to outside entrance by the Marine Wing Support Squadron 471 (MWSS 471) from Mt. Clemens, MI). The Marines were in town helping build housing for needy Native Americans, and were asked to assist with the move of this memorial.
The statue location, at the entrance to the Cultural Center is a very large plaza. The plaza is on Rt. 66, and the plaza with the statues is a nice sight from the road.
