Still not ‘Calumet City’ as claimed, though. It’s Shelly’s Loan Company, 300 East 47th Street at South Prairie Avenue. The scene included dancing in the street and atop the elevated train station platform in the background over 47th Street. The music stars mural is still visible on the Prairie Avenue western face of the store.
It was a very dreary day when I visited and I don't think there is much joy on these streets these days.
