Egmont Racing Club holds three race meetings per year at Hawera Racecourse in August, October and May.
Track details: Left Handed 1822 metre track with a 375m straight.
Info from NZ Racing website: The venue has two Grandstands; the Members have four lounges, 3 upstairs and 1 below. It can provide corporate facilities for parties up to 100. The Public Grandstand has a large concrete steps providing excellent viewing of the course.
Membership cost is $28 per annum which provides Members facilities for two at each raceday.
There are no admission charges at any Raceday.
Directions: The racecourse is located on Waihi road, Hawera. Travel along the main road ½ kilometer north of Hawera. It is adjacent to the northern outlet of town on the state highway to New Plymouth.
