This busy, industrious man holds a bucket on this way out to the fields. As far as car part sculptors, this one is the hardest working, especially in this junk yard. The sculpture is located at the main office, to the right of the first door.

This spring gardener is made of springs. Get it? While the rest of the people in this 'sculpture garden' are lay-about, good-for-nothing,s posing for laughs and attention, this agrarian agronomist has his bucket in hand and is on his way to water the crops. Good for him! He is mostly read and made of springs, gears, axels and other pieces that have been cut an welded. He wears and interesting hat to protect him from the devastating mid-day sun.
Welcome to EL&M Auto Recycling & home of amazing auto part sculptures. They are everywhere! This is also a featured site on Roadside America. There is a diverse menagerie of characters, insects, flora & fauna and a whole cast of characters.
As for the rest of the sculpture garden, there is a fantastic collection of auto part sculptures located in the front. This is one of three junk yards mentioned on the Roadside Attractions website (which is how I discovered this), this one being the most impressive and prolific. The sculptures range from large to small, some are isolated and some are in groups. Most are people-based but a few are insects, plants and an angry dog which frightened me!
The folks running the counter gave me permission to walk around and snap photos. The people in the office wanted to make very clear that these sculptures are the furthest one can go. Anything further back is off-limits for insurance reasons and you are asked to not go back there. They also told me the person who made these used to work here but has been gone for a long time.
