Interesting mural emblematical of Ocean City focuses on the fishing industry, specifically an old salt ready to go to market with his catch.

What a pretty mural located on the side of a business and next to a restaurant. The mural is located in a kind of alleyway, about 150 feet from the Ocean, away form the boardwalk and close to the street. It really is an out of the way place.

The subject is a fisherman with his arms cross, a patch on his left eye, an anchor tattoo on his right arm. Before him are an array of colorful fish , on ice, resting on a scale. In the background are small homes or cottages oceanside. He is on a boardwalk or pier, his wooden workhouse on the pier as well. In the back is a light house. I see no direct usage of Ocean City landscape or landmarks, but given the theme, it is still very appropriate.

I found the mural quite by accident. I was geocaching and spotted it. On the other side of this cache is the Hula Restaurant.
