Die Grundsteinlegung für die Kapelle war am 11. Mai 1868. Sie wurde durch Baronesse Carolina Odilia Bongart in rein gotischem Stil
erbaut.
Die Einweihung war am 12. Juli 1869.
Restauriert wurde sie von 1990 - 1993.
