This cemetery served the now-extinct town of Oakwood, MI, and it still is used by residents of Oxford and other nearby towns. There are many very old stones here, with death dates at least as early as 1839. Some of those interred here were born in the 1700s. Many older graves are themselves mostly buried, with just a date or partial inscription visible with the rest covered. Many older stones are similar in design -- a common one is a raised urns partially covered with a blanket. There is unfortunately a lot of vandalism here as well. Many old obelisk-style stones have been knocked over. Altogether, there are currently 300-400 graves here.
