POST CORNERS SCHOOL
This building is located at the intersection of Testin Rd and State Road "22". The property across the road was own by the Post family so the intersection was known as Post Corners thus the school was named the Post Corners School. This school building was built in 1866 replacing the old school building which was sold at auction for $10.05. The school building opened in the fall of 1866 and remained open until May of 1944. The building was sold to a realtor in Wildrose, WI and converted into a home. Ownership changed a few time over the years and adventually sold to a neighboring farmer and was used for housing for temperary laborers on the farm. The present owners bought the building when it was in a very dilapidated state of condition and has renovated the building. The building looks very nice and comfortable.
