This fire truck is equipped with the four dual rear wheels and was designed especially for snow operation. For winter use a set of tractor-treads were placed over the two dual rear wheels on each side - so that the rear wheels became, in effect, a caterpillar tread drive. With an annual snowfall of close to 100 inches in Rossland, this was a great accessory.

This truck can only be visited while the museum is open. It will cost a family $20 but the museum has many interesting displays and will entertain the whole family.
