On east side of Fulton County Road 19 at Ohio-Michigan state line. Post is light gray granite, originally 69 inches long 12 inches square with the top 18 inches dressed to 8 by 10 inches, lettered on north side "MICHIGAN", on south side "OHIO", on east side "STATE LINE", and on west side "POST 28". Base of post embedded in concrete, top originally projected 18 inches above ground. The top portion of this post has been broken off at some point, with an aluminum 3.5" metal disc stating "MICH POST 28 OHIO" affixed to the top of the remainder. To Post 29, true bearing is N 87 59'10' E, at a distance of 5553.7 feet.
Nearest community is Morenci, Michigan, Ohio, in Lenawee County. To reach from the intersection of SR156 and Main Street in downtown Morenci, proceed west on West Main St for .4 mile Gorham Road. Turn south on Gorham for .6 mile to a bend in the road at State Line Road. Continue south on Gorham to the state line and the mark on the left. Mark is 10 feet east of the road edge, at the edge of a cultivated field, is 12" below ground level, and is witnessed with 2 wood stakes.
