Near the centre of the provincial capital of Rayong lies a sizeable public park, Sri Muang Garden, filled with recreational facilities, and also a public clock. This tower clock is on the edge of the soccer field, and faces towards the soccer field.
The clock face is of a standard design, while the tower is a bright green. With the surrounding trees and foliage of the park, the tower does not greatly stand out from its surrounds.
When I visited the park there was both a high school age soccer match in progress, and a few dozen police officers suiting up in riot gear, including rifles and flack jackets. So I was not sure just what was happening.
