On east side of Fulton County Road 21 at Ohio-Michigan state line. Post is light gray granite 69 inches long 12 inches square with the top 18 inches dressed to 8 by 10 inches. Lettered on north side "MICHIGAN", on south side "OHIO", on east side "STATE LINE", and on west side "POST 26". Base of post embedded in concrete, top projects 18 inches above ground. To Post 27, true bearing is N 88 21'40' E, at a distance of 5545.2 feet.
Nearest community is Fayette, Ohio, in Fulton County. To reach from the intersection of US20 and State Route 66 in Fayette, proceed east on US20 approximately 3.0 miles. Turn north on County Road 21 and proceed 2.4 miles to the state line and the mark on the right. Mark is 10 feet east of the road edge, and is witnessed with 2 round wood posts.
