The stones are at the bottom of the building near to the ground.

1899 inscription: 'This stone was laid by the Right Honourable Llewllyn Nevill Vaughan Lloyd Mostyn Lord Mostyn. Donor of this site, on the 28th day of October 1899. John Owen ...... Chairman of the Council Alfred Connolly Clerk to the Council.' 1902 inscription: 'This Building was opened on the 10th day of February 1902 by Sir Albert K. Rollit L.L.D.M.P. Robert Roberts, Chairman of the Council Architects Silcock & Reay, Bate Builder R. Luther Roberts, Llandudno'
