Rayong Province lies on the south east coast of Thailand, ~150kms from Bangkok. An industrial province. The provincial bus station lies in the centre of the provincial capital city, also named Rayong. The town itself is something of a working town, with few tourist attractions, and very few tourists.
The station is of a standard format. A rectangular covered area, with seats, a few small shops selling necessities, and ticket counters and toilets. Bus bays surround this covered area, and outside are tuk tuks and motor bike drivers ready to convey you around town. During the day, when I visited, it was crowded and noisy. A busy place. The station is located a short distance down a side street from the main regional road (Sukhumvit Rd).
The routes displayed in the station are to other provinces in the eastern region, to Bangkok, and within the province. The station is clearly more than a few years old, but is entirely serviceable.
