Wat Klang is the principal Wat for the town of Suwannaphum. ('Klang' translates as middle. The Wat in the middle of the town. Pronounced 'karng'.) The Wat follows the usual design, a main building housing a Buddha statue with other Buddhist images, a crematorium, monks quarters and so forth. It does have associated with it a primary school.

The statues in the Wat main building are of a good quality. They also seem to be of some age. The building itself is well maintained, but clearly it is far from new.

The Wat grounds show the history of the Wat. There are several near abandoned Buddhist structures present. One which was most likely the main Wat building in former times, indicated by the presence of a Buddha state. There is also the remnants of a Kymer era prang on the grounds. Suggesting that the antiquity of religious practice on this site.
