The first courthouse was built in the 1850s, but it burned down circa 1910. This newer courthouse was built. The stone building sits on Main Street. It's one of two courthouses in Placerville. The courthouse has some nice artwork around the edges of the building,. Two cannons grace the front steps to the entrance.
