The poster of this waymark visited on a day that the train was being maintained and was out of operation. However a conversation with one of the mechanics revealed that the Engine was built in 1999.
According to the Ecotorium website (
visit link) the train, modeled after an 1860's steam engine, takes a 12-minute trip around the grounds. Ecotorium is a combination kid's science museum and wildlife education experience.
Tickets cost $3.
The website list the hours as:
"Spring/Summer Schedule*
Tuesday - Saturday: 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., and 12:30, 2, 3, and 4:15 p.m.
Sunday: 1, 2, 3, 3:45 and 4:15 p.m.
Spring/Summer Schedule begins on May 8, 2010.
Fall/Winter Schedule*
Tuesday - Saturday: 11:30 a.m. , 1 and 3 p.m.
Sunday: 1 and 3 p.m.
Fall/Winter Schedule begins September 1, 2010."
