This series is placed in a number of stages throughout the main street of Werribee. Anne Ross was commisioned by Wyndham City Council and placed the Bronze pieces including the Dog and Bird.
The dog may be seen as a reference to the early days of Victorian settlement when sheep grazing was prevalent.
Alternatively, the dog may be seen as mans companion, a loyal friend. The bird represents flight and freedom, growth and peace.
