This Visitors Information Centre, the busiest of the three in Sidney is fit for its purpose, a modest building, accessible for wheelchairs, with no facilities like washrooms or "refreshments". This Visitors Centre is on siding off the highway about 2 km, just over a mile, from the BC Ferries Swartz Bay Terminal, just before you get to Sidney. I stopped by to get pictures, a GPS position and to chat with the volunteers. Then the visitor traffic off the ferry rolled in and the staff swung into action. I stepped back and observed how well they dealt with people. Wow, rarely have I seen such dedicated, aware, involved and informed staff. They are volunteers, interested in sharing our scenic area with visitors. Facilities don't matter, people do! Thanks volunteers for representing us so well to visitors.
Hours of Operation: Open to greet people off the daytime BC Ferries.
Public Washrooms: No Washroom Facilities Available
Snacks/Drinks at the facility: No - Look elsewhere
