Akeley, MN is a small town with a large summer population. Akeley is in the heart of Minnesota Lake Country and as such gets lots of visitors and tourists, interested in local lodging, restaurants, events and attractions.
This visitor information center is located within the Akeley Paul Bunyan Historical Museum. This is fitting because Akeley, claims to the the "Birthplace of Paul Bunyan" It even has Paul's cradle on display next to the giant Paul himself, just outside the visitors center.
Hours of Operation:
Noon to 4:00 PM seasonally
