Mersey bluff Trig 15m
The trig station sits on Mersey Bluff which is on the west headland of the Mersey river.
Unusually the trig is constructed from a very solid metal post that is not going to blow away in the nasty Bass straight winds.
Nearby is the Mersey Bluff Lighthouse. The front of the light house has 4 vertical red strips, making it very striking.
Other nearby attractions include a blowhole, an aboriginal cultural center and rock carvings.
A note from a nearby interpretive sign.
Mersey Bluff area.
A headland of Dolerite volcanic rock of Jurassic age (185 million years).
