The walkways to the entrance of the
National Museum of the Marine Corps are designed to resemble the 'blood stripe' on a Marine's trousers. A line of red bricks run down both sides of the concrete sidewalk. The lines are made up of memorial bricks honoring Marines and friends of the Marine Corps, individuals and groups. The theme of the memorial blood stripe is continued on the walkways of the Semper Fidelis Memorial Park. The museum and park are a part of the Marine Corps Heritage Center in Triangle, VA, adjacent to the Quantico Marine Corps Base.
Memorial bricks are available for a donation of $300. Click here for more information on purchase and an application. There is a locator kiosk in the Museum to assist people in locating specific bricks.
The Museum and Memorial Park are open to the public daily from 9 AM to 5 PM (closed Christmas). Admission is free. Memorial brick donations go to helping maintain and preserve the Marine Corps Heritage Center.
